I’ve made about 50 blog posts here now at the Poker SEO blog, so I’ve got a little bit of an archive to browse through. Here are 20 of my favorite poker SEO blog posts along with some observations about why I’m proud of them:

Poker Content Planning
Poker Content Production Schedules

A post on another poker affiliate blog contends that “thinking outside of the box is idiotic advice“. The phrase IS trite, isn’t it? And the people who repeat that phrase like a mantra are the least likely to actually think outside of the box.
But it’s far from the worst poker affiliate advice I’ve ever seen. The problem is that most poker webmasters don’t know...

I never get tired of writing about poker link requests that suck. Here are two example poker link request emails, along with some explanations of what’s wrong and what’s right with them. (Yes, I’ve written similar posts in the past, but I never get tired of these.)
Poker Link Request Email That Sucks
This is an actual poker link request that I received in my in-box.

Most poker webmasters who’ve been a this a while already have a poker site network. This post isn’t specifically for them, but they might benefit from it anyway. This post describes (for the beginner poker webmaster) how to launch a poker site network. I offer one way of launching a network, but it’s not the only way. It might not even be the best way. But it’s a good examp...

Here’s a random list of cliches along with some thoughts on how they apply to the poker SEO and poker link building life. There might be something useful hidden in here. But some of this is just pure observation.
Good things come to those who wait. This isn’t true in poker SEO. When doing search engine optimization on a poker site, good things come to those who create great poker cont...

This “Texas Holdem SEO” post is related to a post about “online poker SEO” that I wrote a little over a week ago. In that post, I provided an example of the kind of competitive research I do when I’m targeting a particularly competitive phrase. In that case, I was looking at the phrase “online poker”. I’m going to repeat the process here for the phr...

Today I’m writing about natural poker links, unnatural poker links, and artificial poker links. The most important insight into natural poker link building I can offer is this: Most people try so hard to LOOK natural that they forget how to BE natural. (Thanks, Steve Badger, for that insight.) If you keep that thought in the forefront of your mind, you’ll probably never have to stress ...

Interesting thread about a free poker link building offer at PAL today. It begins so:
“I have a friend who is an experienced SEO expert and has sold his services to hundreds of internet marketers. He wants to offer his services here, and is willing to give away some link building services for free to one lucky member.”
If the person’s friend is an “experienced SEO expert...

I’ve not written a lot about “poker SEO metrics” here. I’ve written about improving the ROI on poker sites, but a lot more can be said about measuring poker SEO success. (Looking over that article about improving a poker website’s ROI, I notice that I hardly mention “poker website analytics” or poker SEO metrics, which should have been one of the first t...

So today I’m thinking about poker link building services. If you know of a decently-priced, competent poker link building service, I’d like to hear about it. Here’s what I was able to find in the search engines:
Google results for poker link building services
Yahoo results for poker link building services
Bing results for poker link building services
Ask results for poker link b...
